Since I have written a somewhat hackish Postscript driver in CL, I am interested in a better developed 2D graphics library callable from lisp. Apparently, cairo is a well thought out library for this purpose. There is also a cl interface. I would like to be able to switch between backends (X, PS, PDF) but it appears that the calling procedure for the different backends are very different. Unfortunately, there is little documentation for cl-cairo, only a couple examples. Even the documentation for cairo lacks a tutorial; the developers say they would like to have such a thing.
